These two girls are my life, every day and every moment I thank God for the life that I am living. I live every moment for all its worth, every smile as if it was the first one I ever seen. I look over to my wife at times and I see the same girl that I feel in love with, way back when I use to watch her walk down the halls at school seeming so aloof. I often look back and I am so glad that I had the courage to walk up to her and introduce myself. As she looked at me as if I was the craziest person she’s ever meet.
I often look at my daughter as the true miracle that she really is in our lives. One of the main reasons we name her Maya, was for its meaning. My wife comes from a strong traditional Hindu culture. Her culture is built around large families and having many children. But as luck would have it, she is the only one out of her four sisters that was able to conceive and it was not as easy as one might think.
I look at my life in amazement, often wondering what I might have done in a previous life to deserve such blessings, so every morning I open my eyes I look up and give thanks for all that I have and the facts that I am doing exactly my heart’s desire for a living.
